5 key findings from DOJ report on anti-Christian bias under Biden

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has released a 48-page report that sheds light on what it calls “consistent and systematic pattern of discrimination” against Christians under the Biden adminstration.

The Christian Post reports that President Trump’s Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias was released on the same day that the White House Religious Liberty Commission met at the Museum of the Bible in the nation’s capital.

Here are five of the key findings of the task force on the Biden administration’s alleged mistreatment of Christians.

The first finding of the report highlights the DOJ’s arrest and prosecution of nearly two dozen peaceful pro-life protesters under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE Act) for demonstrating outside abortion clinics. Those prosecutions led to felony charges and prison sentences for those involved.

The report also calls out the Department of Defense, recently renamed the U.S. Department of War, for it’s handling of religious exemptions to the Biden administration’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for service members. According to Pentagon estimates, roughly. 8,600 service members were dismissed for refusing the shot.

The third finding of the report accuses the U.S. Department of Education of targeting Christian institutions with “excessive and unjustifiable fines” while seeking to eradicate Christian values in public schools. The DOJ also investigated school boards age-inappropriate and pornographic materials from public school libraries in response to religious objections from Christian parents.

The report also found that, Under Biden, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) threatened the federal funding of the St. Francis Health System in Oklahoma over the display of a prayer candle in its chapel in 2023.

Finally, the task force reported that U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) allegedly discriminated against Christian employees in 2023 by demanding they remove social media posts from a HUD account celebrating Christian holidays, despite allowing non-Christian employee holiday posts to remain, including LGBT pride month.

In response to the findings of the report, current HUD Secretary Scott Turner said, “Religious discrimination will not be tolerated — especially anti-Christian bias that goes against America’s foundational values.”
