Whistleblowing doctor facing 10 years in prison says he senses divine providence

The Texas doctor, facing up to 10 years in prison for blowing the whistle on Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH) continuing to provide so-called “gender affirming care” on minors, is speaking out about his ordeal.

The Christian Post reports that 34 year old Dr. Ethan Haim says his experience has convinced him of God’s providence. Haim was hit with four felony counts of “obtaining personal information, from TCH without authorization, by the U.S. Department of Justice earlier this month.

The hospital had claimed that it had paused trans procedures on children when Haim uncovered and leaked documents that proved otherwise. The DOJ went after Haim, claiming that he should have gone to what they termed the “appropriate authorities” rather than the press.

Haim admits that he is terrified at the prospect of a lengthy prison term, especially now that his wife is six months pregnant with their first daughter. However, the surgeon believes he did the right thing in standing up for kids who are being harmed by these irreversible procedures.

Haim asked, “What kind of world will we live in if we don’t stand up for these kids who are being harmed or against the government that’s going after people who are telling the truth? And if we think things are bad now, how much worse is it going to be in 10 years?”

Haim went on to say, “After everything that’s happened, there’s no denying it: these things happen for a reason. I think more people are coming to realize that, too. When you live by these things that we preach on Saturday or Sunday, we learn that God protects His own.”

Haim believes the transgender movement is primarily driven by ideology but is further enabled by people who have chosen to profit off the gender confusion of minors.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) has sent a letter to the U.S. Attorney prosecuting Haim, demanding answers as to why the DOJ is engaging in political prosecution of whistleblowers who expose wrongdoing.
