Tim Tebow on battling spiritual warfare in fight against human trafficking: ‘Overcome the world’

Football star Tim Tebow is talking about his foundation’s new initiative to fight human trafficking and the sexual exploitation of children.

The Christian Post recently interviewed Tebow regarding the Tim Tebow Foundation’s “Unknown” campaign which is named for the nameless victims of human trafficking. The foundation added the word “Unfinished” to its title for the numerous children still in need of rescue from sexual exploitation and abuse.

According to the Christian Post, the “Unknown and Unfinished” campaign’s goals are centered on expanding global rescue efforts to identify exploited children and to provide law enforcement with tools to locate victims and offenders.

In his interview, Tebow explained that his team is fighting something “very dark” but they are encouraging one another spiritually.

Tebow told the Christian Post, “The night before Jesus goes to the cross, He tells His disciples, and they don’t really get it. A lot like me! Sometimes, you just don’t really get it. But He said, ‘For in Me you have peace. In the world, you will have trials and tribulations, but take heart, I have overcome the world.'”

Tebow’s latest anti-human trafficking campaign has partnered with over 20 organizations and nonprofits and is working with law enforcement agencies around the world to meet its goals.

According to the campaign’s website, the initiative has helped tentatively identify more than 800 sexually exploited children through its partnership with law enforcement.
