Undercover investigation reveals how minors get cross-sex hormones at Planned Parenthood with ease
May 13, 2025
Employees at more than 30 Planned Parenthood facilities were willing to provide cross-sex hormones to an undercover operative posing as a 16-year-old according to an investigative report by a pro-life group.
The Christian Post reports that Live Action last week released the results of its latest undercover investigation into the prevalence of Planned Parenthood clinics dispensing cross-sex hormones to clients.
Live Action had previously documented that Planned Parenthood receives approximately $700 million in taxpayer dollars each year.
Live Action had an undercover journalist investigate so-called “gender-affirming” services being offered by Planned Parenthood facilities in Maine, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Colorado and Washington, D.C.
According to the Christian Post, multiple Planned Parenthood staffers can be heard telling the undercover operative that she could schedule an appointment to obtain a prescription for cross-sex hormones.
Live Action reports that 5 of the facilities highlighted in the investigation told the operative that she didn’t need to provide proof that she’d undergone therapy prior to requesting the cross-sex hormones.
Other staffers seemed unconcerned about the operative’s age when she said she was 16 and said she was uncomfortable with having her mother accompany her to the appointment.
Planned Parenthood is the nation’s largest abortion provider and it reported in 2022 that it was offering “gender transition services” as well as puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones in 41 out of its 49 affiliates.
In 2021, a former Planned Parenthood employee spoke out against the organization in an interview with Abigail Shrier, saying that “trans-identifying kids are cash cows, and they are kept on the hook for the foreseeable future in terms of follow-up appointments, bloodwork, meetings, etc., whereas abortions are (hopefully) a one-and-done situation.”
