Evangelical group knocks on 8M doors ahead of election, predicts ‘historic’ Christian voter turnout

The leader of the Faith & Freedom Coalition (FFC) says he’s confident that Christian voters will turn out in “historic” numbers after it knocked on a record 8 million doors in battleground states ahead of next Tuesday’s presidential election.
The Christian Post reports that the Evangelical advocacy group led by Ralph Reed, claims that it will have interacted with 17 to 18 million voters in seven swing states by election day.
Reed told the Christian Post, “We are seeing unprecedented enthusiasm and intensity among our volunteers and the voters of faith with whom they are interacting. It is greater than we saw in 2016 or 2020.”
Reed stated that he believes that, “reports of the inadequacy of the conservative ground game in 2024 are greatly exaggerated,” and added, “These voters are coming, and they are coming in historic numbers.”
The FFC has put 10,000 paid canvassers and volunteers to work during the 2024 election cycle to “low-propensity voters of faith” and get them involved.
According to the Christian Post, the organization hopes to turn out an additional 3 to 4 million voters this year compared to 2020 after completing 10 million volunteer get-out-the-vote calls, 24 million text messages and distributing 30 million voter guides to 100,000 churches.
Reed challenged the narrative that 32 million self-identified Christian voters are planning to sit out this year’s election, saying, “It doesn’t really comport with what we’re seeing on the ground.”
That narrative stems from a report from the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University claiming that faith-based voters are unmotivated to participate in this year’s election.
