Tim Pool blames ‘tolerant and accepting’ conservative Christians for America’s decline

Should American conservatives shoulder some of the blame for the cultural decline in America?

Podcaster Tim Pool says the perception that Christians “are super hateful” has contributed to the rapid societal changes over the past few decades.

The Christian Post reports that Pool made the comments in his Feb 3 episode where he also spoke of Christian conservatives being too tolerant and not standing up for their values.

Pool stated:

And it’s because they’re too good of people, and they were very tolerant and accepting of so many really bad people that they kept acting in good faith and allowed these far leftists and communists to infiltrate institutions.”

Pool also noted that historically, Christians involved in politics have eventually compromised their their values for political gain. He added:

And being good people, they’re like, ‘Well, you know, we should give these people a fair chance,’ and now you’ve got communists running over everything,”

Pool has also spoken out about how the decline in Christianity in America is contributing to an overall increase in lawlessness. In a podcast last year with GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida, Pool said:

If every single person in this country was a devout Christian … you’d need no laws and no police,”

The Christian Post reports that a 2019 study found that political conservatives who are highly religious are just as likely as political liberals to report similar levels of empathy.
